"It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it".
Nelson Mandela
Our journey
The genesis of the peace frame can be traced back to a series of youth-led initiatives that were operating in a relatively autonomous manner with the objective of fostering dialogue, community engagement, and social responsibility. The strength of collaboration was recognised, and these efforts were brought together under the initiative Jeel Jadeed (New Generation), creating a shared platform for youth action and civic engagement.
This collaboration utransformedover time, resulting in the establishment of Peace Frame Foundation, an organisation that expanded the original vision to encompass the promotion of novel peace-related narratives through research, dialogue, and community-driven initiatives.
In the present day, Peace Frame continues to build on this journey by bringing together youth leadership, knowledge, and community engagement to support peaceful and inclusive societies.
Our approach
The foundation of our work is rooted in three key pillars: youth leadership, research, and community engagement. The advancement of a new narrative of peace and inclusive development is sought by the combination of dialogue, knowledge, and locally driven initiatives.
Focus areas
Peacebuilding and dialogue
The process of establishing peace is predicated on initiating dialogue. The creation of spaces in which young people and communities can engage in dialogue, rebuild trust, and transform conflict into cooperation is of paramount importance. The promotion of social cohesion and the creation of shared futures is facilitated by inclusive engagement and youth leadership.
Research and policy development
The establishment of sustainable peace is contingent upon the possession of knowledge. We conduct research and produce analyses that explore the roots of conflict and opportunities for cooperation. The present body of work contributes evidence and ideas that inform policy and support long-term stability.
community development
The basis for the existence of peace is the establishment of strong communities. Peace Frame lends its support to locally driven initiatives that promote inclusion, resilience, and cooperation between communities, including refugees and host populations. By empowering communities to shape their own development, it is possible to help build lasting stability.
Human rights advocacy
The concepts of peace and dignity are inextricably linked. Our position, fundamental rights must be protected, and communities should be supported in their efforts to raise their voices against injustice. It is through the medium of awareness, meticulous documentation and active engagement with relevant institutions that the promotion of accountability and respect for human dignity is achieved.
